It's never been a secret that stupid people are the bane of my existence.  No matter where you go there they are.  They always seem to be in my way.  Asking stupid questions.  Doing stupid things.

In general just being stupid.

And I do believe that I am a "Stupid People Magnet."  If I drive they are in the next lane; I go to the store they are in line in front of me; I answer the phone they are on the other end.  For some reason stupid people seem to gravitate towards me in much the same way that cats head for the people that don't like cats or are allergic to them.

Outwardly there are very few visual clues as to who may, or may not, be stupid.  Most of them dress like us.  Most of them frequent the same places we do.  They even manage to infiltrate our families.  (More often than not we call these "In-Laws.")

Don't get me wrong; I've definitely done my share of stupid things.  My share, your share....you get the idea.  Most people have done stupid things in their lives.  This does not make them stupid. 

What does make stupid people?  I'm glad you asked. 

Stupid People:
• Drive while eating, talking on the phone, and applying make-up all while in stop-and-go traffic.
• Call the police because a package that was supposed to be delivered 4 houses down ended up the their porch.
• Expect rules not to apply to them.
• Drive minivans

(That list will get bigger over some time.  I just don't have the brain power to focus on it at the moment.)

I've also noticed that stupid people tend to breed faster than most folks.  Not only that but they also have more children than anyone has a right to.  Just because you can have children doesn't mean you should.  Anyone with ovaries and a sperm donor can have a kid but you gotta pass a test (2 in fact) to legally drive a car.

If I ruled the world (or, the country at least) things would be better.  Things would run much smoother.  There would be a national IQ test that all people would be required to take.  Not smart enough to drive?  You don't get a license.  Ever.  Not smart enough to raise children?  Mandatory sterilization.  (This also helps with the overpopulation problem.)

I need to come up with a name for this test...

I've been thinking for a long while now and I think I've got it:

I'll call it the Test for Innate Common Sense.  TICS.  Different parts of the test will include CSLT (pronounced Sea Salt): Common Sense Language Test and  DUCS:  Driving Using Common Sense.  TICS will check for PLACS:  the Propensity for Learned and Applied Common Sense.

The test would also determine what kind of job you should hold.  If you ace the test you go to jail.  I mean hell, you either cheated or you're too smart for your own good.  If you fail the test as miserably (as I'm sure some people would) you become a guidance counselor.   Or you could attend CSAW (pronounced, you guessed it, See-Saw) Common Sense Aptitude Workshop.

Oh Yes...I do think ruling the world could be tons of fun.
